I work in an environment with a lot of interesting sounds. As things modernize, those sounds are going away. We’re no longer using so called line or band printers. Those made an interesting sound, and are quite the mechanical marvels.
But we still have a folding machine for our tax bills. It’s a newer, more compact mechanical marvel and makes an interesting thwack, thwack, thwack sound. The other day, I was listening to Neil Young at my workstation, and heard this:
“My, My, Hey Hey”.
“Thwack, Thwack, Thwack”
“Rock and roll is here to stay.”
“Thwack, Thwack, Thwack”
“It’s better to burn out.”
“Thwack, Thwack, Thwack”
Than to fade away.
“Thwack, Thwack, Thwack”
My my, hey hey.
