Replacing a Palm

I have a cell phone. I like it. It is simple to use.

I have a Palm PDA, a Treo m150. I like it. It is simple to use.

I blog and Twitter. I’ve got a Kubuntu workstation and an Ubuntu lightweight laptop. I am trying to keep up with technology where it makes sense.

What will happen when I need to replace the Treo?

Some outlets — like Amazon — appear to be selling old stock, because all I can find on the Palm site are smart phones. What is with that anyway? Why smart phones only?

What’s going on? Is technology forcing me to get a smart phone? If so, I’ll be stuck in the past, at least part of it.
