Inventory Control

This afternoon, while waiting for the start of The Superbowl, I am cleaning our birds’ cages, and also contemplating size, scope, and cost of inventory control systems. Given we are implementing an AMR project and that as endpoints and meters are shipped to us with ids sent separately, it would be good to keep track of what we are installing.

Not counting the scanners, I’ve found software for around $1,500.00, but a lot more searching has to happen. Basically, the data in the inventory control system needs to travel to the AMR data transfer system for synchronization.

This is an important step in our project.
