I got to attend a water equipment trade show put on by the Plymouth (MA) County Water Works Association http://www.pcwwa.org/index.htm A lot of vendors were there with a lot of interesting equipment, cutaways of fire hydrants, special cutoff valves for water main repair, and a safer saw for sawing through larger water mains, like 10″ and 12″. It was great to talk with another segment of the industry.
Even though I have to have a working knowledge of water meters and endpoints, there is not always a lot of opportunity to talk with other people who deal with water systems. A lot can be learned from them. All in all, it was a good day, and a temporary break from our continued effort with our AMR project.
