Discovering a Town For The First Time

For more years than I care to say, I have driven around Braintree, MA

knowing very little about the actual character of the town. That is because Braintree is at a big fork in the road for two major highways south of Boston, MA, and other than driving to one of the first big malls in the area, South Shore Plaza, all I ever knew about Braintree was the view from Route 3 and 93.

Well, all that was remedied today, because I took a bus from the Braintree Red Line (subway) station to South Shore Plaza, and the bus route was along ordinary streets, containing homes and businesses.  While all this may seem like nothing, it is nice to discover something new, especially something that alters your view.
