I do it every time, but not again. I go to upgrade a production server — Python 2.6.x to the latest Python 2.7.x, and I forget that other software, like MySQLDB has also to be re-installed. And don’t forget updating Django.
And oops, at the beginning of the AMR project two years ago, a wonderful date module was found — much better than what I could find in core Python — and that has to be re-installed too, but not just re-installed, the new updated module found and rebuilt.
So, upgrade instructions will be needed from now on. That’s what I don’t like about Python.
